The U.C. Merced Archery Team started off the year strong with over 350 potential archers signed up for information and over 50 full members within the first two months of the academic year!  The restructured and improved officer core, consisting of a new president, vice president, secretary, and the introduction of equipment manager and assistant equipment manager roles, proved highly capable and ready to lead.

Although the year has only just begun, the team has hosted three separate Free Trial Days, Informational Meetings, and the first official practice was held Oct. 3rd.  Due to the high influx of new members, practices will be held bright and early at 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with Saturday practice starting at 10:00 a.m..  The team is scheduled to attend multiple tournaments and archery events this year and joint practices with other colleges such as SJSU, HSU, and UC Davis are in the works!  This is gonna be a good year for the team and everyone is excited for whats in store!
